Overview
Ticket Search is an online platform designed to bring event discovery and ticket purchasing into one connected experience.
The experience extends beyond simply finding a ticket. Users can explore events, view detailed event information, choose ticket types or seats, select delivery methods, complete payment, access their tickets, and explore additional experiences such as memberships, merchandise, packages, vouchers, and gift cards.
The goal of the design was to create an interface that feels easy to explore, simple to understand, and confident to use throughout the entire purchase journey.
The Challenge
Buying tickets can involve multiple decisions:
What event?
Which date?
Which ticket?
Which seat?
How should the ticket be delivered?
How much is the final price?
What happens after payment?
A good ticketing experience needs to reduce unnecessary friction while keeping important information visible at every stage.
The design challenge
How might we create a ticketing experience that makes discovering events enjoyable while keeping selection, checkout, and post-purchase actions simple and transparent?
The solution was approached as a complete journey rather than a collection of individual pages.
Designing the Journey
The experience was structured around a clear user journey:
Discover → Search → Explore → Event Details → Select Tickets → Checkout → Payment → Confirmation → Access Tickets
Additional experiences extend the journey:
Memberships · Merchandise · Packages · Vouchers · Gift Cards · Deals
This helped create a consistent ecosystem instead of treating ticket booking as an isolated transaction.
Information Architecture
The primary navigation organizes the platform around the things users are most likely to explore:
Home
Events
Vouchers
Merchandise
Memberships
Deals
Packages
Donations

The structure gives users multiple entry points into the ecosystem while keeping the core ticket-booking journey accessible.
Design principle
Explore freely. Purchase confidently.
The navigation remains consistent across the experience, creating familiarity as users move between different sections.
Final Thoughts
Designing Ticket Search was an exercise in creating a complete commerce and discovery experience, rather than focusing on a single transaction screen.
The interface needed to balance two different user mindsets:
“I know exactly what I want.”
and
“Show me something interesting.”
The final experience brings discovery, decision-making, purchasing, and post-purchase access into one connected product.
The goal was simple:
Make finding something worth experiencing feel effortless.
Project Takeaway
This project strengthened my approach to designing complex digital products where multiple journeys need to coexist within one consistent experience.
From event discovery to seat selection, from checkout to ticket access, every interaction contributes to the overall product experience.
Good design doesn't just help users complete a task.
It helps them feel confident throughout the journey.
